Meta Unveils AI Agent Muse and Smart Glasses Updates at Connect

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, reportedly initiated the company’s annual Connect event in Menlo Park on a Wednesday, according to TechCrunch. During his keynote, a significant focus was placed on Muse, with the company indicating a strong commitment to its AI agent. TechCrunch reported that Muse is slated to arrive on Meta's AI glasses.

The Verge elaborated on this, reporting that Meta announced it is working on bringing Muse to its smart glasses, including new models unveiled at the Connect event. This announcement came a couple of weeks after Muse’s initial launch. Users of Meta’s smart glasses will reportedly be able to activate Muse by speaking its name. Once activated, Muse is designed to assist with various tasks such as guiding workouts, logging meals, and helping users shop for products they are viewing.

Beyond Muse, Meta’s smart glasses are also set to receive several other significant updates, The Verge noted. Among these are new accessibility features. One such feature is Hearing Enhancement, which Meta described as FDA-cleared software intended for adults experiencing perceived mild to moderate hearing loss. The Verge further reported that this Hearing Enhancement feature is expected to become available at a later time.
