DJI has officially announced its new entry-level Lito 1 and Lito X1 drones, following a series of teasers and leaks. The Lito series is designed for beginners, with both models weighing less than 249 grams, making them exempt from registration requirements in many countries.

The Lito X1 is the more expensive of the two, featuring improved obstacle avoidance and a superior camera. In contrast, the Lito 1 offers a more affordable entry point for new drone enthusiasts, with European pricing starting at €339 (approximately $397). The Lito X1 is priced at €419 (around $490) in Europe.

Both models come with DJI's screenless RC-N3 controller, which utilizes a smartphone as its display. However, unlike the DJI Neo, the Lito drones cannot be piloted using a phone alone. The Lito series is also compatible with other DJI controllers, including the RC 2, which is included with certain packages.

Currently, the Lito drones are not available in the US, but their release in other regions is expected to provide an affordable and accessible entry point for beginners in the drone market.
